With it being the Easter weekend you may as well buy something that is at the very least bunny/egg related. Here’s a Top 7 list of what to exchange if Easter was like Christmas and people had the urge to buy me things.

#7 – Domo-kun

Something Domo-kun related. If you don’t know who/what Domo-kun is, he is the mascot of  Japanese T.V. station and an internet icon in a sense. It is said he magically hatched from an egg, and that is Eastery enough for me. Featured in an image chasing kittens, I have always wanted my own Domo-kun to remind everyone of the consequences. #6 – Tshirts

I have always been a fan of random things, and random t-shirts are amongst my favourite. What better than to get at-shirt that is both rediculous and Easter related? There are many more that I would like, but I am not greedy (1, 2). So, for Easter I would settle for either, or both, of these shirts.

#5 – Chocolate

Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate. Let’s admit it, one of the best things about Easter is that you actually do get Easter eggs from tons of people. Most of the time they are those cheep ones which end up sitting around forever and eventually just get thrown away. If you are going to give someone an Easter egg, make sure it is delcious and what chocolate is more delicious, in my opinion, than Lindt? The egg I am referring to is more of a bunny, but regardless, it is the epitome of my existence and the highlight of my year. The biggest gripe I have with Easter eggs is that they are hollow. I want a slab of chocolate in bunny/egg form – this is as close as I have found to that with solid chocolate ears.

#4 – Aduki ni

The next item on the list is an egg shaped glowy pod thing – The Mathmos Aduki ni I have seen a video of it on YouTube and have decided it is something that everyone must own. No reason needed, just have to have it. It changes colours and is chromed and as a result is visually appealing. This is something that every proud geek must have on his desk for everyone else to be jealous of.

#3 – Microwavable Bunny Slippers

One of the most identifiable animals associated with Easter is of course the bunny. These microwavable bunny slippers will make your female counter part feel like they are in fact the Easter Bunny. Bunnies are known for their speed and cunning agility through the wild, who wouldn’t want to have this association made when people see your lady rocking their bunny slippers. Not only will your furry footed bunny friend be the envy of the crowed, but they will keep her feet warm. For us in the southern hemisphere (Johannesburg in particular), we have been having a bit of a cold spell and these would’ve been perfect for keeping my girlfriends’ feet warm when walking across the cold tiles to fetch me more coffee.

#2 – Easter Coffee

Easter Coffee. There isn’t a brew that I know of as such that is special for coffee, but who really needs an excuse to sip on a cup of java? Coffee can also be delicious as an ingredient in other foods, such as coffee ice-cream and coffee milkshakes. Or, you can enjoy a cup of coffee with Easter treats. Here’s a link to 18 Easter Coffee cake recipes. Also, coffee has been used to prevent road accidents and fatalities.

#1 – Macbook Air

The MacBook Air. Now you may be wondering “How the hell is this Easter related?”. Let me explain to you how I come to this conclusion. As pointed out in number 5, Easter Eggs are one of the highlights of Easter. Easter egg is also a term given to hidden features or messages in objects. Most of us know a trick for our favourite app or gadget that reveals an Easter egg. Well, thanks to Royal Pingdom, I now have a reason why the MacBook Air is the number one thing you should have for Easter.
