We’re used to top 10 lists these days, but what were the top 10 games of 10 years ago? 1999 had some good stuff judging by Unreality’s list (which has pictures); but simmers down to the following:

10) Mario Party
9) Soul Calibur
8 ) Quake III Arena
7) Final Fantasy VIII
6) Unreal Tournament
5)  Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater
4) Everquest
3)  Counterstrike
2) Silent Hill
1) Super Smash Bros

Personally, I would have gone for Final Fantasy VIII as my number one of 2009 – possibly the number 1 for the next few years after that even.
