GTA4 Beaten by Journalist

The lucky Rob Taylor from Xbox World is officially the first gamer to finish GTA IV. The sadness I feel is two fold really; firstly I’m not the first. This upsets my very soul.

Secondly; he allegedly did it in some 25 hours - I was hoping for more given there is apparantly 8 hours of video in the game. Does this mean there are under 1 days worth of gameplay hours?

“That’s a hard question to answer really. I finished the story mode in 24 hours, without skipping cut scenes, but I literally blitzed through and hardly took on any side missions. If I was to play it again (which I will be, right on launch day!) I’d say to wrap up the story will take at least 40 hours at a normal pace, plus another – say, 25? – to wrap up the remainder of the missions. In truth though, you could be paving the streets of Liberty City in a year’s time and still not have discovered everything.”

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?? I’m damned awesome at gaming! (by the way) What does “blitzed” mean for us, the overactive gamers with too many consoles and too much rage.. WILL I BE FINISHED IN A DAY? :(

“blitzed through it” is basically ‘face paced, went through quickly, etc.’
