Joystiq, a gaming website, has released their top 10 games of 2008. While I disagree with a lot of the picks purely based on not liking first person shooters they have a pretty varied, interesting list.

The highlights of the top 10 lists to me have been that indie games (e.g. Braid) and RPG games (Fallout, Fable etc) have been making the top. Will this mean we’ll be seeing more successful small-house games, and more fleshed out RPG’s? Currently, the top 3 games at GameSpot are all RPG’s, and the top upcoming games include some as well.
