I was reading a post on PulseBlog about the placement of posters for elections and how the ANC is doing things a little different and how it might not be too legal. One image made me laugh:
This is an ANC poster on a power box. Kind of sums up how I feel about the ANC, they are in power, but don’t always work – like Eskom lol. The point raised though was why do other parties use street lamps and the ANC are just sticking their images to anything and clearly everything, Arne went on to explain how it works;
Apparently the council has a system where you pay them a certain amount for each poster you put up, and when your period you’ve paid for is up, you go back take off the posters and recycle etc. and you then receive a large amount back from the council when you have disposed of the poster correctly, iow not leaving it on the lamp poles. This to me is a very good system for handling this, but again we have a problem with governance.
Elections are getting closer and closer and clearly the drive to pull voters is in full force. Let’s just hope that everything is sorted for those that left the country, for a reason, to be able to vote and maybe bring in some numbers for opposition parties.
