I’m sure all of you using the service just got the same e-mail we just did from Afrigator MD, Justin Hartman. I’ve just read through it and have a suggestion for the guys over there. The clause I am specifically referring to is

Adgator may, at its sole discretion, display non-paid advertising on all unsold inventory on the Service. This may include advertising for non-profit and charity organisations as well as Adgator related advertising to further promote the service.

I’m not complaining about what they are saying there, I agree with what they plan on doing with unsold advertising space. The banners are going to be shown on user’s sites, so why not do some good with them and use them for charity etc.

My suggestion is this; Why not do something similar to how AdBrite manage unsold space? Basically, if they do not have any adverts to show for you, you give them your Adsense account details and they will show those through their system instead. Essentially combining two services (AdBrite + Adsense) into one block of AdBrite code.

I don’t know the logistics of doing such a thing, and I don’t know what the backend of the Adgator system looks like so this might be easily achieved or need a serious rewrite of their adserver. Either way, just a suggestion.
