We’ve just launched a fun side project we’ve been playing around with called SMSr! Its a web based email-to-sms gateway which allows you to add friends and send them text messages essentially. It works using free Email-to-SMS gateways provided by various networks around the world, which means you can SMS a whole bunch of people :D

Naturally we are using the providers servers, which means they can impose limits (often 10 sms’s per day per user) and we are at the mercy of their servers working – but this can make it a lot easier for you to send SMS’s free of charge to overseas and local phones.
