This theme is not valid XHTML, there is an UL element missing in the head section. Fixing it, makes the design crumble apart.

Is there any help for this?

    I am having three problems:
1- the footer of posts is corrupting and showing bad images (not sure how to fix this)
2- I want to change the header to a jpg image – how do I do this?
3- I want to add a contact form – how do I do this?

Otherwise a cool theme …and will use on more than one blog – thanks for a cool theme

    Hi Mason,
    1. Haven’t heard of this – do you have an example ?
    2. if you edit the style sheet you should be able to change it
    3. I would advise using something like cformsII – its a wordpress plugin that lets you easily add contact forms anywhere.

    Thanks
    Dave

    hi,

Have u fixed the problemd with the head? i still see some bad code at the bottom of my posts…

Thanks anyway for the theme, is awesome

    March 13th, 2009 at 8:16 am

    Hi Fermin,
We’re actually taking a bit longer with this as we’re doing a version 3 rather – one that will be completely compliant as well as having other features (like admin cp’s etc)

I haven’t managed to fix the problems with the head – or the footer – I’ll have to get an expert to do it for me

    Hi,
I installed Contempt V2 for my blog and I love it. One question though:

I am trying to have my admin language in English but the actual blog (what users see) in German. Do have any suggestions on how to do this?

    Thanks

  16. fx

    March 19th, 2009 at 9:44 am

    Hi Mat,
Unfortunately we don’t have much experience with that, the theme should support any language really so it shouldn’t be hard but I’ve never even touched on it..

    Cheers

Hi, I like your theme it looks very cool but I’m having the following problems:
    1. I can’t get the calendar to navigate through the months.
    2. The calendar has a style issue it’s missing the border(all 4 sides).
    3. I can not get the “Pages widget” to work right, it does not display the
pages as a left aligned unordered list. Instead it displays multi-pages
    in one line.
    4. The Pages widget does not display the sub-pages.
Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Just a word of caution. Contempt_v2.zip doesn’t create a directory. It just unzips directly on the current directory. (It killed the existing index.php in my wp-content/themes/).

It’s a shame. This is not the Contemp available on wordpress.com.

Whoever took this theme and destroyed it.

Love the simple design of V2, but there seems to be a character limit in the top navigation bar.

As soon as I hit that limit (depending on page name lengths), the next new page I create does not display in the bar.

Is there a way to circumvent that, maybe by displaying two rows of links?

    Thanks,
    Merrill

When will the Contempt Theme on WordPress.com be updated to support Gallery navigation?

All available themes on WordPress.com are being updated to support better navigation between images on a page containing a WordPress.com image gallery. When you click on an image in a WordPress gallery, the image should be displayed (in an WordPress Attachment Page) along with “Previous” and “Next” navigation tools to enable the user to more easily navigate between adjacent images in the gallery. Otherwise the user must continually return to the gallery page to click on the next (or previous) image.

When I contacted WordPress about this feature, they said that this new feature needs to be added to each WordPress.com theme individually. WordPress has added it to their default Kubric Theme, and I have been waiting patiently for the Contempt theme to be updated with this feature as well.

Is anyone working on this? Thanks!

I publish the WordPress.com site: http://gulfcoastblacksmith.com which uses the Contempt Theme. This is version of the Contempt theme that is shared by all other WordPress.com sites.

WordPress.com has begun modifying their set of shared themes to support more user-friendly navigation between images in a WordPress image gallery embedded on a page. When a user click on an thumbnail image in a gallery, WordPress.com displays that image on a page. The new functionality also displays the Next image and the Previous image in the gallery so they can easily move between images without having to redisplay the entire gallery to select the next/previous image.

WordPress.com has added this functionality to its default Kubric theme and has begun adding it to all the other themes. They advised me that the owner of the Contempt theme (you foks) would have to add it to the Contempt theme as well.

Is anyone doing this? It is a must-have feature for image navigation in a the WordPress.com gallery. Can anyone tell me when we might see this in Contempt them on WordPress.com?

    Thanks!

I love the theme and have my heart set on using it.

I have read all the comments and I still can’t figure out how to customize the header image.

Do I edit the header.php file? Do I replace /images/blue_flower/head.jpg with the URL to my .png file?

    Thanks.

I love this design but the newest version does not display avatars for replies (“Recente reacties”) can you fix this? I have two versions of the blog:
lenardkaptein.wordpress.com with wordpress.com contempt version which shows avatars.
blog.ptein.nl version wich does not (also implemented show avatar extension)
Can you fix this or tell me how?

I’m having a problem with the nav bar. I excluded some of my pages and that worked fine, but the links aren’t in the nav bar. It’s sort of weird. The links show just above the post name of each page.

What can I do to put it back into place?

In Content V2 2.0, the file footer.php has a typo. There is a missing “http://” from the URL for famfamfam.

    It currently says:
    FamFamFam

    It should say:
    FamFamFam

    Hi!

I got a huge Problem. Every time i insert something at a page (for example a copy/paste text) the sight moves his location.

    Check it: http://www.itshaas.de
If you click on Kontakt, the whole site moves to left.
    I dont know why…

The theme does not support page hierarchy. Is it possible to create a sub-page into a drop down list on the menu bar.

For example, if page 1 is the parent page of 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 then on the main navigation bar, only page 1 shows but page 1 has a drop down list of 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4.

I should say you got a wonderful theme. Was impressed the first time I saw it.

Thanks a lot for the theme..
